You can walk where the Apostles walked in Athens, Greece. Just at the Parthenon base is a huge rock where the Apostles spoke so long ago. It’s hard to imagine stepping where they had once been. The Parthenon itself was under renovation when we were there, but it was still an amazing sight to see and experience. Construction began around 447 BC for the goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their patron deity.

Athens, the city

While in Athens, be sure to see all of the sites, walk the small streets and enjoy the people, the culture, and of course, the food and drink. At no time did we feel unsafe, and everyone we spoke with was amicable and helpful.

The Greek Isles

We took a day trip cruise to a few of Greece’s Isles and found them very quaint and beautiful. I’ll post more pictures later of some of the sites we saw on tour a bit later, but there is one photo from the boat as we came into port. The water was an amazing blue with sailboats and fishing boats floating about.

I would definitely recommend taking some time to walk where the Apostles walked in Athens, Greece, and explore its wonderful Isles. However, after a few days, we were ready to move on to our next adventure.
