Here are some more photographs from the Petit Trianon at the Palace of Versailles, France:

The Temple of Love was built in 1778 entirely of marble and could be seen from the Queen’s bedchamber. It was to house a sculpture of cupid, which is now in the Louvre museum in Paris.

Originally Louis XVs retreat room and later became the bedchamber of Madame du Barry in 1772 and then Marie-Antoinette.

Hameau de la Rein or The Queen’s Hamlet was constructed in 1783. Marie-Antoinette had it built similar to farms of that day so she could get away to the charm of country life and away from the courts of Versailles. It was a working farm and supplied food to the kitchens of the palace. However, she didn’t like the sheep’s smell, so she had powder and fragrance put on them.

The Belvedere is an eight-sided small pavilion built in 1777 and used as a tea house.

The living room was the main room on this floor and was used for music and games.

Visit the Petit Trianon at the Palace of Versailles and step back in time. It is a time of great power and wealth, which also created a division between those who have and those who do not.
