My wife and I decided to add a few days onto our Italy trip to see Paris. We had never been to France and we wanted to see if it is a place we would like to go back to someday. We took a night train from Venice to Paris. If you have never taken a night train, do! We had no idea what to expect but would do it again.

We arrived in Paris and we were amazed by the city and all of the things it has to offer. The people are extremely friendly and helpful, at least to us while we were there. We had an itinerary planned that would give us an idea of what the city is like in order to know if we want to go back. We were there in November, so the weather was a bit chilly and it was raining but not bad for walking from site to site. We prefer to walk when possible instead of taking a taxi as it allows you the opportunity to get lost and find things you wouldn’t normally see. And meet people that are not just out for your tourist dollars.

We were able to visit many of the major sites in three days. However, I would definitely spend more time at each one, taking in all the wonderful sites have to offer. We toured Notre Dame, the breathtaking small Church, Sainte-Chapelle, Louvre with its famous Mona Lisa, Musee d’Orsay, Eiffel Tower, and Arc de Triomphe. Needless to say, we were moving along at a rapid pace.

So the question is, would we go back? In a heartbeat, we would. There is so much to see, do, and enjoy just in Paris alone that it would be worth days exploring. Not to mention all of the other wonderful towns and countrysides in France. I have so many photos that I will try and post more for you to view.
